Kevin Costner might not be meant for Jewel.
The Yellowstone actor has finally addressed rumors that he's dating the "You Were Meant For Me" singer, and it seems the two are far from in love.
"Jewel and I are friends," Kevin said on the June 18 episode of SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show. "We've never gone out."
But that doesn't mean the 69-year-old doesn't care about the "Foolish Games" singer.
"She's special," he continued, "and I don't want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that's what we have."
The Oscar winner—who's dad to kids Annie, 40, Lily, 37, and Joe, 36, with ex-wife Cindy Silva; son Liam, 26, with ex Bridget Rooney; and kids Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14 with ex-wife Christine Baumgartner—explained that he met Jewel when they were invited to Richard Branson's private island in the British Virgin Islands, adding, "I got on a plane with nine people—Jewel was one of them."
And despite having no love connection, Kevin did note that Jewel is "somebody I just had some tremendous conversations with."
The two first sparked dating rumors when they were seen together at a fundraiser for Jewel's Inspiring Children Foundation in November, with one photo showing Kevin with his arms wrapped around the 50-year-old, who even gave him a shoutout on her Instagram.
As for Jewel—real name Jewel Kilcher—she had previously played coy about her relationship with Kevin, telling Elle in April, "He's a great person," adding that "the public fascination is intense for sure."
In fact, the "Who Will Save Your Soul" singer—who shares 12-year-old son Kase with ex Ty Murray—has been vocal about finding love with someone even more special.
"I found love, and I'm not talking about Kevin's," she told People in May. "I'm so happy, irrelevant of a man. It has nothing to do with being in a relationship or not being in one."
She added, "I'm just happy."
"I'm more inspired now than I've ever been in my life," she continued. "The most since I was like 19 or 20 years old."
